What can bksb do for your organisation?
bksb can bring significant benefits to a hugely diverse range of organisations, including schools, TAFE's, training providers, prisons, pupil referral units, employers, universities, the armed forces and police forces. We are also now expanding across the globe with customers in a number of diverse vocational settings.
bksb is the ideal tool to use for indicating level of ability and matching the suitability of courses to learners. The analytical capability of bksb can provide a structure for individualised learning for each student, avoiding the 'one route for all' method that fails so many.
Benefits to the learner
Individualised learning means that each learner is treated as an individual, leading to increased motivation and sense of purpose. This is the key ethos behind bksb, assessing learners not as a way of passing or failing, but to build a structured, specific program of learning for ongoing development.
-
Learners are able to take assessments through interactive, dynamic software which adjusts to their level as they progress. Paper assessments are also available where more suitable.
-
The Initial Assessment establishes the correct level for each learner, rather than organisations or tutors making assumptions. This means they will not be de-motivated through questions which are too hard or too easy.
-
The Diagnostic Assessment provides an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) at the correct level for each learner. This shows strong areas and skill gaps topic-by-topic, giving learners real ownership of their work moving forward.
-
Workbooks, available in paper or electronic formats, provide each learner with the resources to develop their skills at any time.
-
Enhancing skills in literacy and numeracy will not only increase an individual's ability to gain qualifications, but will also equip them for better career options and more prosperous futures.
-
The bksb Interactive Learning styles Assessment further enhances the individualised learning approach, ensuring teaching methods are relevant to each learner. Delivery is made easier by the group profiling tool.
Benefits to managers/co-ordinators
There will be many instances in organisations where managers or co-ordinators have no direct involvement in teaching, but need to know that data is readily available and generated from an inexpensive yet efficient, best practice system.
This is what bksb gives them:
-
It can be a struggle for managers/coordinators to keep tabs on the progress of learners across a range of groups and subject areas. If, for example, a coordinator is asked by their Curriculum Director for an update on the levels or progress of any given group or even the entire organisation, they can access the data instantly via the tracking tool and database. This instant access to information is massively significant during inspection periods.
-
Teachers and Tutors are able to use their time more effectively which brings operational and financial benefits to the organisation.
-
Managers can be safe in the knowledge that a best practice approach to skills assessment and development is in place and that teachers, tutors and learners are reaping the benefits.
